We are happy to report that, since the end of winter in Kullu, the attendance of children and parents in the Handimachal Therapy Centre has never been so good and stable.
We don't call this a victory but this is the best reward to our team's efforts and the testimony of parents' trust in our team's work. The cooperation recently set up with the pediatric ward in Kullu General Hospital also provides a good case load of very young patients and the possibility for our team to fully express their services and devotion to this cause.
One again this year, the Handimachal team received a prize during the Red Cross mela (festival) this month.
Before my next visit to Kullu (next week), I would like to share with you some of the pictures taken by our team lately, to witness the activity level at the Handimachal Therapy Centre and share all the rewarding smiles from children and mothers.
It all begins with the appointment calendar for the week, which I receive every Monday by WhatsApp...
All our gratitude to the sponsors and volunteers who have supported this initiative since 2009. Rachel Gebers, an experienced OT volunteer from South Africa, finished her mission with Handimachal a few weeks ago already. A special thank you to her, we wish her a safe return to her country.
I will be back with more news from Kullu very soon!
