While the Indian nation was preparing for the celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of its Independence, the Handimachal team organised today a special event to celebrate and entertain our young "freedom fighters" - our dear children who, every day, have to fight to push back their limits and break limitations imposed by society.
Independance is indeed the goal therapists and parents are focusing on, at various levels, for these children: Independance in their daily activities, for a better future, which they will gain through therapy exercises and restless efforts, day by day.
Around 15 children (and their parents) came to the Handimachal Centre today with a different program: playing, singing, dancing, hand-painting, fancy dressing, running around, enjoying snacks and soft drinks, and children, parents, staff members and several Handimachal Society members generally shared a very happy and relaxed day.
We are taking this opportunity to introduce our new Handimachal team, which was recently enriched by the arrival of a speech and language pathologist (Ms. Hamshi Ganjam), of a new occupational therapist (Ms. Grace Muppidi) and of a program manager (Nitish Pathania).
